Making fun of yourself can be a beautiful thing

This is a lovely piece of work from the new Audi Q5 campaign by Bartle Bogle Hegarty. It takes one of the product’s major disadvantages and turns it into a positive.

Audi aren’t the first brand to take this approach. Skoda not so long ago did a nice campaign that focused on their reputation for producing primarily shoddy cars. The humorous ads featured people being convinced someone had vandalised an expensive car by placing a Skoda sign on it.

These types of ads always go down well with the public because people love a brand that can make fun of themselves. Especially a big name brand like Audi who do it in such a beautiful way. Enjoy.
