Magic and innovative, the new GE website shows us a technology that will allow consumers to interact with advertising in a completely new light.

How it works is that you print an image which resembles a solar panel (this is available to download on the website).

Once you’ve downloaded and printed this image, you just need to turn on your webcam and point your printed paper towards it. The animation starts instantly. You can see yourself on screen with the 3D objects  and you can interact with them, by moving the printed sheet or even blowing the windmills.

Imagine the possibilities in the advertising world. This technology could be used to show how a particular product might look like or behave right in front of your eyes. Brilliant.
